Over time, all lithium-ion batteries degrade — their capacity to store charge reduces, resulting in shorter range and potentially reduced performance. Understanding the true State of Health (SoH) of your battery is essential, whether you're buying a used EV, selling one, or simply want to know how much life is left.

Understanding State of Health (SoH)

SoH is expressed as a percentage. A new battery starts at 100% SoH. Most manufacturers consider 70–75% SoH the point at which a battery pack warrants replacement. Our test gives you an accurate SoH reading so you know exactly where your battery stands — and what to expect in the coming years.

If we identify degraded or failing cells, we can advise on your options, including battery reconditioning (where applicable) or replacement.
